December is a Bad Time for Cold Calling – Bah Humbug!

We are at the end of 4th quarter 2020. In some ways, we’re asking ourselves, where did the year go?  In other ways we are ready to say goodbye to 2020. For Sales Managers, it is a busy time of year. We are focused on meeting end of year sales goals while also laying the foundation for success is 2021.  

Sales performance can go a couple of ways in the 4th quarter: Your sales team may be ahead of their goals or the team is not on track and cannot seem to break through to meet their goals.  Either way, complacency is not an option, outreach to new and existing business must be done. The time is now to reach out as many companies are in the process of end of year purchasing and finalizing their plans and budgets for 2021. You may also beat out your competitors whose sales outreach may be slowing as the year winds down.
